Installation Instructions

To install and run GenOpt, Java needs to be installed on your computer. Java Runtime Environment (JRE) v1.8.0 is the minimum requirement. Java can be downloaded from Oracle.

To install GenOpt, press the download button above, and save the file genopt-install-x-x-x.jar to your computer. If your operating system associates jar files with java, double-click the file to start the installation. Otherwise, open a command shell, change to the directory that contains genopt-install-x-x-x.jar and type java -jar genopt-install-x-x-x.jar. GenOpt can be installed in any directory.

GenOpt Related Publications
